Join our team for the summer and help 16-17 year olds develop life skills and confidence through a whole range of different activities. Spend 4 to 8 weeks with us and you’ll create memories to last a lifetime, not just for the young people that you will support, but for yourself too. 

Job Title: Youth Support Workers - National Citizen Service (NCS)
Salary Range: £8.94 – £9.89 per hour
Hours: 37 (on average) per week
Contract:  Fixed Term for minimum of 4 weeks.

Hertfordshire County Council Youth Connexions is delivering the National Citizen Service (NCS) during summer 2017. NCS offers young people aged 16-17 (to 24 for those with a learning disability) the opportunity to build the skills and confidence to support them in engaging with their local community and volunteer in a social action project. 

If you’re over 20 years old, highly motivated, energetic and have experience of working with young people and an interest in helping them to develop, this is the opportunity for you.

Join the team and you’ll help to deliver our programme of activities for a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks. The first 2 weeks are residential and you must reside at the venue for the two consecutive Monday to Fridays. Accommodation is provided free of charge during this time.

The programme for 2017 will be running from 26 June until 25 August.

There will be a three day training event in May prior to the start of the programme which you are required to attend.
